for example let’s say he copies brainwashing and zero gravity. he takes the touch aspect of zero gravity and combines it with brainwashing to make the quirk contact based instead of vocal. that would be pretty cool ^_^

OR if he can only use two quirks as they are: brainwashing + present mics quirk to boost its range, overcoming the “can’t use a megaphone” hurdle

Video Chats (Keith Kogane x Reader)

OML I haven’t updated in ages and I am soooo sorry. I’m about a month away from graduating HS right now and things have been hectic. I finally sat my butt down and was like “Get some work done you lazy bum” so I did.

I hope this isn’t too bad, I haven’t written in a little bit, but I decided to write about my boy Keith. So I hope you enjoy. Also @daydreamermika I swear I will answer your tag LOL I just haven’t had time past this and I really wanted to update.

I’m not putting spoiler warnings for s5 anymore cause at this point I don’t really see a reason sooo. 

Btw fun fact I had guessed that the episode Bloodlines was going to reveal Keith’s mom just by title and description before even watching it, my friends all flipped out on me XD 

Anyhow this was in fact a request so I hope you all enjoy. ‘\^.^/�� Also I just realised I had 2 requests for this lol

Keith had been gone for a while now. Permanently residing with the Blade of Marmora for missions and the like. The two of you hadn’t had an incredible amount of contact in the last few months but with a war going on it was easy to ignore in a way. Occasional video chats were about as much as you could be satisfied with but it never really put a strain on the relationship, you always made sure that you both knew that another time to talk was coming.

Recently though Keith hadn’t been able to talk with you, having a large onslaught of ‘top secret missions’ as you were told. The only thing you knew was that he was to destroy some kind of weapon and past hoping for his safety you didn’t think to much of it. Just a fairly regular mission and you had full confidence in your boy. So you carried on and waited for the inevitable video chat that would come after his mission had been done and settled.

It had been a regular day on the castle ship, keeping track of different convoys. You had just recently gotten back from the visitation of the Galran central hub and were still getting your head back into normal working mode. Typing monotonously, scouring through heaps of information dumped on you to filter through, you sighed and leaned back to close your eyes for a moment.

The stagnant silence surrounding you, however, was suddenly broken. Your communicator soon began to go off in the shrilling ringtone you were all too familiar with. Blinking slowly you reached for the small orange device to look at who it was. When you expanded it you couldn’t stop the grin stretching across your face. It read Keith Kogane. Sitting up, you clicked the answer button, swinging your legs in anticipation.

When it connected through the familiar face of a young mullet headed teenage boy popped up. The purple lined tired eyes of a boy much to troubled with responsibility popped into your view. And yet somehow they were still the most beautiful optics you had ever seen in the known universe.

“Hey baby, I missed that face.”You tell him leaning forward, almost to get closer to his presence, a small laugh escaping your mouth. A small lethargic smile lifted the corners of Keith’s mouth as the words left your mouth.

“Yeah I’ve been really missing being around you lately, things have been so crazy, I miss quiet mornings with you.” He sighs in response to his remark. Staring at you with unsaid affection. Actions over words almost always. You blink nodding in agreement to his sentiment before humming a little.

“How did that go by the way, your last mission I mean. I never got to hear much.” You tilt your head to the side staring at his face. Suddenly his eyebrows scrunch in a little and he bites his lip, thinking about something. You sit a little straighter in response, worry numbing your bones.

“Keith? What happened, you look worried.” He glances up and clears his throat.

“Nothing bad happened really, but (Y/n) I have something crazy to tell you and there's uh someone I’d like you to meet.” the nervousness lacing his eyes did nothing to quell the anxiousness filling yours. Staring in anticipation as suddenly a woman, a very tall woman, come into view. You noticed strikingly Galran features of her appearance, but not completely. The beautiful purple skin and the markings crawling up her body and onto her cheeks. She was gorgeous, but the thing that stuck you the most was the fact that she looked exactly like Keith.

Or more appropriately, he looked just like her. You blinked rapidly in confusion, your brain coming to the conclusion of it all faster than you could actually process.

“(Y/n) I want you to meet my mother, this is Krolia.”

There was a slight ringing in your ear as the cogs in your head started working a little faster, and your jaw dropped. This was the woman the two of you had spent countless nights discussing, the root of Keith’s trust issues. You didn’t know if the feeling brewing in your chest was happiness or anger. Maybe a mixture of both. You swallowed a lump gathering at the end of your throat.

“W-what.” still processing all the info that was rummaging through your brain. His mother was staring at you.

“Yeah, she happened to be the Marmora operative running the base of my last mission and the cat just kinda fell out of the bag.” he shrugged as if he didn’t see it as a big deal, but you knew him better than that.

“Well then Krolia,it’s, uh, it’s exciting to meet you I guess.” You looked at her and she nodded back.

“Likewise, my son mentioned you on our travel back and I was intrigued to meet you.” She had a stern look about her but the way her eyes softened you could tell she was at ease. You looked down for a moment before clearing out your throat. You made eye contact with Keith for a moment.

“Well if you don’t mind, could I have a moment alone with your son, I just want to talk to him about something for a minute and then we can all talk.” you kept eye contact with him as his eyes furrowed. You knew he wanted to talk about something, even if he didn’t.

Krolia nodded her head once again, blinking her eyes between you two. “Of course, I understand wanting a moment to speak with your significant other.” She turned herself away then and left the screen.

Your mind was still buzzing over the encounter.

Keith looked back at you after watching her leave.

“So what did you want to discuss?”

“Oh you know, the weather.” You blinked at him with a ‘really look’ for a moment. He rubbed his neck in a nervous movement as he waited.

“So…” you drew out.

“So?” He blinked at you.

“Your mother, finding her, everything? How are you feeling right now.” you questioned him, trying to understand what was running through his brain in this moment. He looked down and around at random things, thinking for a moment.

“Honestly, I don’t know how I feel yet. Scared, mostly, I guess.” He swallowed the quivering down his throat.” I don’t know, I don’t want to trust her but...I don’t want to lose her again. I just, I don’t know what to do at this point.” tears lined his eyes a little as he tried to blink them away. This had always been a hard topic for him to approach, even harder now that it was tangible.

You looked into his eyes and let out a small sigh and then gave him the smallest of smiles. Lips upturned enough to try and evoke some semblance of support.

“Well I guess that just means we’ll have to do this together then, doesn’t it. Don’t get me wrong Keith, I’m happy for you, I just want to make sure you're doing okay.’’ You keep the soft smile on your face, wishing more than anything in this moment that you could hold his hand and squeeze it in assurance. Your words would just have to do for now.

“It’ll take time, but a small part of me is really hoping this goes well. Most important though, is that you two get along. I just, you’re on of the most important people in my life and this wouldn’t mean a thing if the two of you didn’t like each other.” Your heart swelled a little at his admission, how much your approval meant to him in this equation.

“Well if she’s anything like you, I’m sure we will get along just fine.” You smile and he does too. You glance down for a moment before coming to a quick decision. “Hey Keith, would it be alright for me to speak with your mother alone for a moment.” He blinks and raises an eyebrow before slowly nodding.

“ I guess yeah, just let me go get her.” He walks off for a moment and in his place Krolia walks in. She grabs the communicator before looking you in the eye.

“Keith told me you wish to speak with me.” She states. She still has that rigidness about her stance but her eyes continued appearing soft while she looks at you. Probably because she understood what you meant to her son.

“ Yes, I do. Look, I value you opinion and presence as much as any significant other would of their partners parents. I’m glad Keith gets the choice to have you in his life and I will support him to the end no matter what he chooses. But let me get one thing very clear, if you ever hurt him like you did before I will personally hunt you down and take you out. I never want to see him in so much pain over something like that again. Am I clear.” There is a slight harshness to your voice, a serious look covering over your features as you stare directly into her eyes. She's an intimidating woman, but you won’t back down, not with Keith.

She gives an ever so slight smirk, almost impressed with the guts you possessed. Nodding her head she affirmed.

“Of course, I do not intend to leave him ever again, understand that my intentions are pure. He’s my son and I won’t let anymore of his life slip from my grasp.” The sincerity in her eyes is overpowering. You smile and your shoulders start to get less tense.

“Besides that, I’m glad to see that my son has such a strong-willed partner in his life. I’m glad that my son has had someone like you in his life up till now.” The gentleness feathered in her façade was slightly embarrassing. Your face burst into a bright red burning sensation. Keith finally decided to come back in, feeling as though you had enough time, as he still wanted to speak with you.

As he walked in he looked between the two of you again. “Everything alright?” He questions, a slight worry on his shoulders. “Why is your face all red (Y/n)?”

“No reason, none. I think your mother and I have come to an agreement.” You smile and she smiles back. “I think the two of us will get along just fine.”

“ Yes I think we just might” Krolia adds as Keith looks confusedly between you two, unsure of how to take the situation. Eventually he just shakes his head.

‘Well, I’m glad that things are going well.” A relief seemed to life after hearing that you two were getting along fine. He came over and grabbed the communicator from his mom.

Soon the three of you engage in a small conversation over things before they went in to meet with Kolivan.

A smile still etched to your face, you and Keith both thought “Thank Goodness that went well.”

Neither of you certain of what this new-found development would mean for the future but knowing full well, no matter what,you at least had each other.

now that you've mentioned it, i do sound like someone from the 1800s writing to their old friend 🥲😭 i'll try my best not to sound like one 😖 akaashi? that is a big compliment ○.○ just tried a haikyuu kin test and got akaashi twice so i guess that's something 😭

ahah well im barely more than halfway through and i took a lot of breaks in between 😌 but it is a good show the more you watch it. as for kotaro, i just finished it today and it's more so found family based. without spoiling anything, the kid's backstory does get a little sad. it's a decent show overall though and there were many cute moments to make up for it. uwah i've been meaning to watch given as well but i gotta finish the 10 other animes i put on hold 😋👍 do you also have 20 other animes in your watchlist? 😭

also, just thought i'd post a simple qns. i've read most of your works from tr and jjk and i wonder, how do you get the inspiration to write your works? based on my tr request prompt, you managed to wrote up a oneshot just by a few words, and it was pretty well done as well! what's your thought process when writing?

you know what? funny thing i skipped kotaro lives alone cos i heard people say that the kid has a sad background/history and i personally have to mentally prepare myself for emotionally elevating scenes/series bc i feel uncomfortable handling heightened emotions (i'm a bit constipated in showing feelings) SO i moved on to watch given. i finished the series and the movie as well AND SHIT YOU NOT it was a freaking emotional show. i was caught unprepared for it and now i'm all over the place, broken beyond repair BUT I LOVE IT it was well pulled off but still i... sigh, i'm a clown for skipping kotaro lives alone bc of the kid's sad history when given is a whole lot more depressing/angsty.

yes, i do have a long list of animes to watch and i wish i have an extra pair of eyes (aside from my glasses lmao) and brain to consume all the media i want.

that's a cute question, i didn't expect you to ask something about my writing. it makes me feel giddy knowing that someone is interested in knowing how i write gsnsbsns :')

anyway, so i get my inspiration from requests. reqs are like prompts to me, they give me an image or scene to start off with then from there i choose which character (if not given) fits it based on their personality. so, i fit the scene to the personality of the character i will write for then i try to come up with a situation that is likely to happen behind the scenes of the show so it will be relatable for the viewers and readers (e.g: from your request i thought, in the anime only scenes of the actual gang meetings are shown but what happens before the meeting when the captains are waiting for the rest of the members? since they usually start late afternoon to evening maybe they eat first before holding a meeting? then, what transpires in that scene? what could possibly happen within that period of time? do they hang out like ordinary teens their age? how do they converse?) so basically i look for loopholes in the series (if the writing is canon based) then i write for it, i create scenes from what if's.

1. Favorite constellation?

The big dipper because it was the first and only constellation I was actually able to see in person and it was absolutely breathtaking. I think I stood by a lake with my best friend for a solid hour just staring at it.

2. If you could live in a fictional world from any book/movie/tv show/whatever, where would you go and why?

Ummmmm Harry Potter because damn! I want to have magic and to attend a cool wizarding school where I would get to study stuff like potions, defense against the dark arts, charms, and transfiguration. I would probably be like Hermione, reading up on all the magics.

3. Do you have any song completely memorized?

I have so many! I love singing along to songs, so if its on my playlist, I know the lyrics (except for k-pop because I haven’t found the time to actually learn the korean ^.^;;)

4. What’s one subject you wish you were better at?

Math for me too, it’s just never been my friend, but I want to be its friend. 

5. How did you get into kpop/kdramas/your favorite thing if you’re not into either of those

For K-pop, oml I’m gonna be completely honest here and tell you that I first heard k-pop when I was watching someone’s Homestuck animation. The song playing in the background was Block B’s Nillili Mambo and it was just so good that I had to download it. But I really fell into k-pop hell when for gym class i had to perform a dance with my friends and one of my friends suggested Dope by BTS and yeahh.

For K-dramas, my best friend adored Boys Over Flowers and grade 7 me was an emotional wreck watching it. That was way too much drama for a middle school student.

6. What’s the thing that you’re most proud of?

I’m really proud of the fact that I always try to see the best in others. It sometimes backfires, but I can never bring myself to regret thinking that someone could do better. 

7. Favorite book (or series)?

Oh jeez, it’s actually been so long since I’ve had to time to read a book for pleasure. I recently read Kafka on the Shore for english class and I honestly loved it! I loved the character development of Kafka and the way Murakami used magical realism. AND OSHIMA!!! MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER!! I mainly loved the book so much because it made me reevaluate the way I approach certain things. I also reread bits and pieces of it over and over again and each time I found something new and a little bit of myself in the book.

8. If you were the only person left on earth, how long could you go without losing your mind?

Not long at all. I love talking to people and even if I don’t feel like talking, I still want to feel that there is someone there for me. I believe I would be capable of providing the most basic necessities for myself, but I need human interaction. I would probably last three weeks, tops.

9. What small gesture from a stranger has made an impact on you?

This is a really hard question for me because I have a really terrible memory, but one thing I do remember is when I was taking the bus with my friend and she was telling me about a guy who treated her badly, an old man interrupted our conversation To speak to us. He said that we should never let a man mistreat us because we were worth so much more than that and it really touched my heart that that man went out of his way to speak to us when my friend was upset. After that, I gained more confidence in speaking to strangers even if its just to compliment their outfit or saying good morning because that man taught me that the smallest things you say can make someone's day.

10. If you could make a 1 minute phone call to yourself either in the past or the future, when would you call and what would you say?

I would go back to the past and tell myself to reconsider who you think you have a crush on because, no it’s not him, the guy you actually like is your best friend, so confess before it’s too late!!

11. Favorite childhood memory?

That’s funny! My favourite childhood memory was also a water gun fight!! I was playing with some guys in my neighbourhood who also went to my school, but I wasn’t particularly close to and my friend. We all had these really big water guns, but the guys also “cheated” by bringing buckets. So, little me tricked them into coming near my house and there I squirted them with a hose. :PP

1. What color reminds you of home? or of a safe space?

Usually things like succulents (my family and I are big on plants and stuff lol) and anything mickey mouse, there is always tiny mickey mouse things throughout my house because my mum loves him

2. What’s your favorite season and why?

Winter! Although here in California we don’t really get a super cold winter I just love the cold weather, I like dressing in layers and snuggling up with people while watching movies and stuff, winter is also the time of year my whole family gets together and I really look forward to that

I usually notice either their shoes. I tend to not make eye contact and look down when talking to people so I see people’s shoes first lol but I think the shoes a person wears says a lot about them soo that’s a thing

It usually depends on my mood (I can honestly listen to anything) but I really like songs that have a lot of meaning, whether through the lyrics or through the way the person is singing I like there to be some sort of feeling I guess?

I am afraid of everything lol but I guess I am afraid of failure? and heartbreak.. and disappointing the people I love

I’m not sure tbh lol I guess I wish people would appreciate my passion more? Like I am a very passionate person but I feel like a lot of people become overwhelmed by it a lot and see it as a negative thing?

I really like dark themes, like Vixx’s Voodoo Doll.. I also like mvs that have a story line, or a series of mvs with a story line, Like B.A.P’s Skydive (oml that mv was beautiful) and although idk what concept it would be called, I really liked Boyfrend’s Bounce mv like the Alice In Wonderland theme was so well done damn (having twins did help tbh)

O k a y idk what song to choose tbh? Like they are all too cliche in a way lol So I guess if I had to choose a song for Jonghyun I would probably choose... Plz Don’t Be Sad by Highlight?? Idk I feel like he’s been through a lot of hard times and I would do anything to make him happy and I think that song expresses it well

English.. And that’s about it lol I am learning Korean rn tho and I can speak a decent amount of Spanish

1. What was your first ever kpop album that you bought? BONUS: Whose photocard did you get?

Well technically the first album I ever got was bought for me, and it was The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1 and it was from my parentals for Christmas x) (mostly my mum tbh) and I got the human embodiment of the sun J-Hope :D ((this did not help my Hope Complex)). That same Christmas my friends got me TMBMIL Pt 2 ((gotta catch em all)) and I got Jungkook :D later that year one I /actually/ bought was Young Forever and once again got J-Hope, as well as Seventeen’s Love and Letter and got Hoshi but my good pal swapped me for Jun :3 ((I gasped when I saw she had him lmao))

2. If you could go back to any era for your bias group, what era and why?

I wish I could have been there during I Need U to see their them get their first win and all but tbh who wouldn’t wanna relive No More Dream amiright folks

3. Do you have any pets?

I don’t really, my mum keeps a fish tank which i’ve been feeding while she’s away

4. Can you do a backflip or any other tricks like that?

I can do a one-handed cartwheel ^-^ I did gymnastics for years but that’s the best thing I got from it x)

5. A kpop choreography that you’d love to know?

A L L  O F  T H E M I wish I had time to learn more ((I legit only properly learned one but know bits and pieces of others from watching the dance practises over and over)) A goal I had for the summer was to learn Very Nice by Seventeen because I love the dance soooooooooo much but alas that has come and go,,,,

In an ironic twist of events, the first movie I ever saw in the cinema was when my parents brought me to see Shrek,,,, yes i’m old enough to have seen it in cinemas i’m a fossil I know

1) Sehun - I feel like he would just to be weird

2) Lay - almost out of love? he’s so soft and sweet but has a strange streak to him that I could see it happening

I can’t think of anything specifically, maybe a seventeen jumper? like an aesthetic one with the rose quartz and serenity on it or smth but they probably don’t exist,,,, I have a couple of BTS things so i’d be nice to change things up

i love paramore with my whole heart. though i’m not as old a fan as a few of my friends are, i love them as much as they do. none of the first three albums were my first era, either. all we know is falling couldn’t have been anyway, i would’ve been four years old when it came out!!! i can’t even say self-titled was my first era!!! i missed it just barely. but since after laughter came out, i’ve just grown to adore the band so much more. they have gotten me through so much, and they’re going to continue doing that. i’m glad for that.

also, i actually love africa by toto, but that’s a whole other story i won’t get into now.

Park Jimin: Park Jimin, the love of my life, my sunshine, happiness, and joy. I first noticed him in the Dope MV with his glasses (cuz iits reaalllyyy a turn on for me when idols wear glasses) and once i got more into bts, i realized Jimin is one of the sweetest, kindest, talented people I’ve ever seen. I see how much he cares for the members, his friends, families and ARMYs ofc. He has the cutest eye smiles and laughs whenever any of the members make him laugh. He is a ray of sunshine that keeps me happy and positive even when im upset. He is always there to comfort any of his loved ones whenever he sees that they’re sad or upset. Jimin is also one of the most hardworking and talented people I’ve seen. He practices dancing and singing for us ARMYs and always wants to improve more and more. I always hope for Jimin to have the same happiness and positivity in his life like mine whenever someone mentions him. I love Park JImin ♡

Im Jaebum: It was something about Jaebum that got me realllyyy drawn into him. Maybe its the fact that he has a cool, chic personality, but deep inside, he is one of the softest, sweetest, caring people i know. he has this cool bad boy tyoe of aura, but in reality he’s a big softie who loves what he does, who loves his members, family, and ahgases. He’s very hardworking in performing, and always wants him and his members to improve always. Jaebum is a hardworking leader who is willing to sacrifice anything for his members, and is always there to take care of them. it may not seem like Jaebum is a softie because of his cool, bad boy persona, but he is a genuine, caring, loving person, who has the one of the cutest smiles and the best reactions whenever someone shows him anything from Dream High, Dream Knight, or JJP. I love Im Jaebum ♡

2. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? healing probably ^^ i’m so clumsy (i literally trip at least three times a day) so i injure myself a lot plus!!! if i had that superpower i could heal others and that sounds amazing

What’s your favorite era for your ultimate bias/ biases? oMg okay so i really really want to say all eras bc donghyuck rocked every single one of them!! like i loved firetruck + chewing gum era for him bc he had brown hair (and he looked aMaZiNg) bUt overal (hair, lines, wardrobe, etc) i’d pick the we young era lIKe omg he looked soso good in the teasers and his vOCALS in the songs i just--
